Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine for Whole-Body Balance
At Akasha Integrative Health, we offer a traditional yet scientifically grounded approach to care that supports and nourishes the body through Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. These therapies have been practised for thousands of years and continue to play a powerful role in modern health care. By gently stimulating the body’s natural energy systems, they encourage balance, vitality, and lasting wellbeing.
Our Manly-based acupuncture practitioners integrate Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with contemporary diagnostic understanding to help you restore harmony across mind, body and spirit.
The Philosophy Behind Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine views health as a continuous flow of energy, known as Qi, moving through pathways called meridians. When this energy becomes blocked or imbalanced, symptoms of illness, pain, or emotional disharmony may arise.
Acupuncture and herbal medicine work to restore this flow, addressing not only the immediate condition but also the underlying patterns contributing to it.
This holistic perspective recognises that emotional well-being, lifestyle, and physical health are deeply connected.
At Akasha, our goal is to create lasting results by supporting your body’s natural restorative processes rather than simply masking symptoms.
What to Expect During Your Treatment
Your first acupuncture session begins with a detailed consultation where we explore your health history, current symptoms, and lifestyle. This allows our practitioner to identify the energetic imbalances contributing to your concerns.
Fine, sterile needles are then gently inserted into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow, release blockages, and support the body’s natural recovery.
Most clients find the treatment deeply relaxing, often leaving the clinic feeling lighter, calmer, and re-energised.
Follow-up sessions are tailored to your progress, with adjustments in treatment points, herbal support, and lifestyle recommendations as your body begins to restore balance.

Chinese Herbal Medicine for Internal Balance
Alongside acupuncture, we offer Chinese Herbal Medicine to support internal rejuvenation and strengthen the body’s natural defences.
Herbal formulas are prescribed based on your unique constitution and symptoms, addressing the root cause of imbalance rather than surface-level relief.
Chinese herbs are used to nourish the organs, regulate hormones, and support the nervous and digestive systems.
Our qualified practitioners ensure all herbal products meet Australian safety standards and are carefully selected for quality and effectiveness.
Fertility and Reproductive Health Support
Acupuncture is increasingly sought after for its role in fertility enhancement and reproductive health. By improving blood circulation, balancing hormones, and reducing stress, it helps create an optimal environment for conception and healthy pregnancy.
TCM can also be used to support men’s reproductive health, improve sperm quality, and enhance vitality.
Many clients choose acupuncture alongside IVF or medical fertility treatments as a complementary therapy that supports emotional and physical wellbeing throughout the process.
Pain and Injury Rehabilitation
Acupuncture is highly effective in relieving acute and chronic pain. By stimulating specific points, it increases blood flow, releases endorphins, and reduces inflammation. Our practitioners may combine acupuncture with dry needling, or motor point activation to accelerate recovery.
Whether you are an athlete, recovering from an injury, or managing chronic pain, this approach promotes more efficient recovery, improved mobility, and optimal health.
