The saunas

How it is set up

An infrared sauna heats with panels built into the cabin rather than with a stove or steam, so there is no humidity and no water poured over rocks. We have two Found—Space cabins, each in its own room with a shower.

Full-spectrum panels, up to 70 °C

The heat comes from full-spectrum infrared panels built into the cabin walls, developed with Sentiotec of Austria. No stove, no rocks, no steam — the air stays dry. The cabins run up to 70 °C.

Two cabins

Both are made by Found—Space, an Australian design company, and lined in Canadian Hemlock. The standard cabin is a Nu-a II and takes up to 2 people; the large cabin is a Nu-a III and takes up to 3. Both are yours alone for the booking.

Briefed, then self-paced

Our team does not stay in the room, but is in the clinic throughout. A fully guided session is available as a separate booking.

Your session

What to expect

If you have not done this before, here is how a session runs.

  • Your session opens with a one-on-one briefing: safety, how the cabin works and getting settled.
  • Time in the cabin is typically 30–45 minutes of the 50 minute booking.
  • You set your own pace and can step out whenever you want to.
  • Finish in the room’s private rain shower, in your own time.
  • The ice bath can be added to the same booking as a single 50 minute session.

Good to know

Before you book

Check with your doctor first if any of this applies

Sitting in a heated cabin raises your body temperature and you will lose fluid through sweat. If you are pregnant, have a heart or blood pressure condition, have epilepsy, or are under medical care for anything ongoing, please speak with your GP before booking. The same applies if you take medication that affects how your body handles heat or fluid. Tell our team as well — and if you are unsure, call us on 02 7228 5363 before you book.

Yes. The standard cabin (Nu-a II) takes up to 2 people and the large cabin (Nu-a III) up to 3. The fee changes with the number of people rather than being a flat rate each — the figures are in the table above.

Yes. The two are sold together as a single 50 minute booking, and there is a version — Private Guided Recovery — led by a member of our team from start to finish. See the ice bath for what that room involves and for its own 20 or 30 minute rates.
