Controlled cold-water immersion in a private suite. Every session opens with a one-on-one briefing covering timing, breathing and getting in, after which the room is yours.

Heat therapy
Infrared Sauna
Canadian Hemlock cabins heated by full-spectrum infrared panels rather than steam or convection. Fifty minutes of quiet, on your own or with company — the large cabin takes up to three people.

Oxygen therapy
Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
A chamber held at a pressure above normal atmospheric pressure. “Mild” refers to the pressure — our chamber runs at 1.5 ATA, well below the levels used in a hospital setting. Sessions are supervised by our team from start to finish, and most people read, listen to something or simply rest.

Casual visits, session packs and memberships. A towel and water are included with every session. Reset Rooms sessions are offered as complementary wellbeing therapies, according to individual needs and suitability.
The first two are for one person — the $99 offer in the standard cabin, the $147 offer in the large suite. Every intro offer, session pack and membership is subject to conditions, including a health screen before your first session — see terms and conditions below.

Session lengths are time at pressure. The booking runs longer, because bringing the pressure up and back down sits either side of that. A safety screening and medical declaration are required before your first session — see terms and conditions.

Claiming the massage with Medibank
Lobsang’s remedial massage can be claimed with Medibank, but only if it appears as a separate line on your invoice against his provider number. Ask for it that way at reception. Any rebate is calculated on the massage component alone, not on the bundled price. Other funds and policies differ, including whether they recognise remedial massage at all — please check with your own fund before you book, as we cannot confirm what you will get back.
The detail
Terms and conditions
These apply to every offer, pack and membership on this page. If something here is unclear, please ask reception before you book rather than after.
- Each intro offer covers three sessions of the service named, in the cabin or suite named. The $99 offer is for one person in the standard cabin; the $147 offer is for one person in the large suite; the $267 offer is for two people in the large suite.
- Intro offers are for people who have not used that service at Akasha before, one per person.
- Valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. Sessions not used within that period are forfeited.
- A health screen must be completed before your first session.
- Not transferable to another person and not exchangeable for another service.
- Not refundable, except where a refund is required under the Australian Consumer Law.
- The conditions above apply, with one addition.
- A safety screening and a signed medical declaration are required before your first session in the chamber. Both are completed at the clinic, not online.
- If the screening shows the chamber is not suitable for you, the offer is refunded in full.
- Packs of three and six are valid for six months from purchase. Packs of ten are valid for twelve months. mHBOT packs carry their own expiry periods, shown in the pricing table above.
- Memberships run for a minimum of three months from the start date and do not roll over — unused sessions in a month do not carry into the next.
- Fourteen days’ notice is required to cancel a membership, and cancellation cannot take effect before the end of the minimum term.
- A membership can be paused for up to four weeks in a twelve month period, with seven days’ notice.
- Where a pack or membership is ended early for a medical reason, unused sessions are refunded pro rata.
- Shared session prices apply when everyone attends the same booking.
- How often you are seen is a clinical decision made by your practitioner at each appointment.
- Paying in advance does not guarantee a set number of treatments. It is payment for a course of care, and the course is reviewed as it goes.
- If a pathway is stopped before it is finished, the unused portion is refunded pro rata.
- The pathway fee covers your consultations and the time your practitioner spends on your case between them.
- Herbs, supplements and functional pathology testing are billed separately and are not included in the pathway fee.
- You are told the cost of anything recommended before it is ordered or dispensed.
- A combination is two separate services booked back to back on the same day at a combined price. It is not a single treatment.
- Each service carries its own screening, and each is subject to suitability on the day.
- Twenty-four hours’ notice is required to cancel or move a combination booking.
- Massage combinations are given by Lobsang only and depend on his availability — currently Sunday and Monday afternoons.
- A discovery call is an orientation conversation about what a service involves and whether it suits what you are looking for.
- It is not a consultation. No diagnosis is given and no treatment plan is made on a discovery call.
- One call per service stream.

What to expect
If you have not done this before, here is how a session runs from start to finish.
Before you arrive
Come ten minutes early
That gives you time for check-in and your safety briefing. Wear swimwear, or clean dry underwear, for the sauna and ice bath. Bring your own drink bottle and dry clothes for afterwards.
On the day
A one-on-one briefing
Someone talks you through safety, the controls and getting in. The sauna and ice bath are then self-paced in your own room; the chamber is supervised from start to finish. Each room has a private rain shower, and a towel, water and shower amenities are provided.
Afterwards
Take your time
There is no rush to leave. If you have booked a treatment with a practitioner on the same day, let reception know and we will line the two up for you.

Frequently asked questions
We recommend booking ahead to secure your preferred time, particularly for the large sauna and the mHBOT chamber. Walk-ins are welcome when there is availability.

Yes. The large sauna takes up to three people and ice bath sessions can be shared. Two and three person rates are listed in the pricing above.
Bookings are 20 or 30 minutes, and time in the water is typically 1–10 minutes of that, often in rounds of 1–3 minutes with a rest between. Our team goes through timing and breathing with you at your briefing, and you set your own pace from there.
Infrared panels heat the body directly rather than heating the air around you, so the cabin runs at a lower air temperature than a traditional dry or steam sauna.
You settle into the chamber, the pressure is raised gradually to 1.5 ATA and held there for your booked time at pressure, then brought back down. Your booking runs longer than that time, because the pressure change sits either side of it. A member of our team is present throughout. If you are under medical care, please speak with your GP before booking.
Yes, subject to suitability and availability. Charles offers a combined acupuncture and mHBOT session, and a Reset Room add-on session where you choose sauna, ice bath or mHBOT separately. See our treatments or mention it when you book.
