Alana is a registered psychologist who offers a down-to-earth, non-judgemental, and collaborative space to help people heal, grow, and understand themselves at a deeper level. She often works with individuals who appear to be functioning well on the surface — are thoughtful, capable and self-aware — but who are quietly feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, and exhausted on the inside.
Alana’s work is grounded in strong case formulation and the thoughtful, strategic use of evidence-based interventions that are tailored just for you. She is particularly skilled at noticing how things connect — your history, temperament, neurological style, schemas, coping style, and current life circumstances — and synthesising these into a clear and compassionate understanding of what is really going on for you. From there, she works with you to identify how you can best be supported in meeting your therapy goals in the most effective and sustainable ways possible.
Sessions with Alana feel relaxed and organic, while still being purposeful and intentional. Nothing is vague or random. There’s always a plan, and you’re always included in it.
She will quickly shows clients there is no hierarchy in the therapy room; you are equals, and therapy is teamwork.
